The Harz
Today lots of popular locations can be found. In Saxony-Anhalt the Harz is such a location. Every year lots of visitors come into this region to enjoy the wonderful nature all around. One very interesting place in the Harz is the so called Bode valley. This valley is characterized by two rivers that run through it, i.e. the cold and the warm Bode. However, this region is not only characterized by lots of beautiful vacation homes and summer cottages but also by many interesting places and cities such as Treseburg and Thale as well as by a wonderful nature and wildlife.
Furthermore the Brocken, i.e. the highest mountain of the Harz , is the place where the Bode rises and it is also a very popular place among visitors. The canyon the Bode creates near Treseburg is also a wonderful place to visit. Also lots of other places can be found along the Bode. Therefore this area is one of the most popular ones in Saxony-Anhalt as well as in Germany.
