Victoria - the smallest federal state on the Australian mainland.

It extends across the south of the continent. Victoria surprises visitors with a particularly diversified scenery, Mediterranean climate and beautiful coastal sections with popular bathing resorts where tourists will find a wide range of hotels or holiday flats. On the coastal road “Great Ocean Road”, visitors will directly pass the picturesque line of the Indian Ocean. The most impressive sight along the road is the “Twelve Apostles”, the famous lime stones in the sea.
Most excursions in Victoria start and end in Melbourne, the buzzing, modern multicultural mega-city. International gastronomy, good restaurants, hotels and many cultural institutions particularly characterise the cityscape. In the Melbourne region, numerous world-renowned sports tournaments are carried out.

The vast vineyards, the gold fields (small historical towns dating back to the period of the Australian gold rush) and Mornington Peninsula with its mile-long beaches, marvellous golf courses, diversified water sports facilities and gourmet restaurants are popular destinations. The bathing resorts along this coastline are popular places for weekend excursions for many of Melbourne’s inhabitants.

The Great Dividing Range, Australia’s biggest mountain range, attracts adventurers and sportspeople with trekking and mountain tours. Mount Buller, located in the eastern part of Victoria, is a well-known winter sports region.
